***Typical Properties

Light yellow granule with little odor of ammonia, no poison. The density is 1.31-1.34.The melting point is more than 78¥.

It  soluble  in  chloroform,  benzene,  Acetone.  Insoluble  in  water,  gasoline,  acid  /  alkali  with  lower  concentration.  It  will decompose step by step with temperature over 60¥.

***Recommended Applications

It can be used as sole accelerator or in combination with low level of secondary accelerators in NR or Synthetic rubber compounds where extended scorch time are required. Typical examples are thick tire treads and extrusion, compounds with high loading of furnace blacks and compounds which are stored, uncured, for long periods, such as camelback.

NOBS is also an excellent accelerator for EPDM cure systems were a high degree of processing safety needs to be combined with a fast cure

It should be noted that in the application of NOBS, N-nitrosomorpholine can be formed by the reaction of morpholine, a decomposition product

***Handling and Storage recommendations

Store NOBS in single stacked pallets in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, avoiding exposure of the packaged product to direct sunlight. Double stacking of palletized material can result in unusually compacted product or broken granule. Do not store this product near insoluble sulfur as the amine vapors characteristically emitted from this material can cause insoluble sulfur to revert to rubber markers sulfur.

Usually the shelf time is 6 months while the recommend use of date is 3 months.
